Community Mental Health & Addiction Program is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC), the goal of the CMHAP is to assist urban Indigenous people in mental health and addictions issues by providing individualized assessment, planning, and evaluation of services provided to the recipient and advocacy on the client's behalf as needed.


Program Objectives:

1. To maintain a strong working relationship and network with government, and social agencies concerned with the mental health of urban Aboriginal people.

2. To provide mental health programs and services to Urban Aboriginal people, regardless of their legal definition.

3.To promote a culturally appropriate mental health services for clients.

4. To provide Indigenous cultural sensitivity training to mainstream mental health service providers as a key component in addressing partnerships and a continuum of care for Indigenous clients.
